Commenting on the story: Time’s up: Decade-old Gawler Chambers tower bid expires

Maybe there will be something done with this heritage site once one of the air conditioning units falls from the decaying windows and kills a pedestrian. – Peter Maddock

What a horrid design. I believe our heritage buildings need to be adapted and reused for ‘regenerative design’ so that they are maintained and incorporated into modern construction so that they remain part of the building fabric of our cities.

SCAP got it right this time. Enough is enough: our heritage buildings should not be held to ransom and left in disrepair. – Sascha Frost

Commenting on the story: No relief for surging household power bills

We’re told (by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese): “Cheaper power bills will come as a result of investment in cheaper energy, that’s just a fact”.

I thought SA is ahead of most of the world with its transition to renewable power having already closed its coal dependency, and our power supply is on track to be 100% renewable by 2030. Yet our power bills are still climbing. That’s just what is happening, despite our investment. – Ron Shanks

Commenting on the story: RAA members re-elect ‘not endorsed’ board director

Good to see that Martin Small was re-elected. Perhaps now the Board can look at a motion to remove the previous motion from last year.  Members give the Board their directions, not the other way around. – Kym Smith
