This is the woman who SA Police allege was murdered at an Adelaide house this morning, with a man charged over her death this afternoon.
Police this afternoon released the name and photograph of Louise Hughes, 51, who was found “collapsed and unresponsive” by paramedics at a house at Condada Avenue, Park Holme, shortly before 5am.
The Glengowrie woman was unable to be revived. Paramedics then alerted police.
Police this morning said the circumstances of her death remained unclear, but this afternoon’s release containing Hughes’ name and image alleged she had been murdered.
A 33-year-old man who lived at the Park Holme address was arrested this morning interviewed by Major Crime detectives.
Shortly before 4pm this afternoon, police said the man had been charged with murder and breach of bail.
Detective chief inspector Mick Fisher told reporters this morning that the two people were “acquaintances, but not in a relationship”.
He wouldn’t comment on whether the woman had suffered any injuries, saying it was too early in the investigation.
“Major Crime’s involvement and obviously with forensics is to determine what we’ve got at the scene,” he said.
“There’ll be a post-mortem conducted on the… deceased female person to ascertain the cause of death.”
