The car park on that site is the best-designed one of my experience. I hope any development will replicate the clever up and down lanes and the backing space. Even if I have a bit of walk, I tend to park there. – Patricia Chigwidden

Your reporter tends to make light of people who may not wish to attend games because they have to wear a mask. Having followed the trail of destruction Covid has left, I say good on those people who are wary.
As my doctor said, if you have an underlying medical condition, Covid will make it worse.
When the vaccine rollout gets near completion, you may see more people venture out. At the moment they are acting prudently.
Re: TV coverage, on the whole it is mediocre. Camera work is slipping, picture quality sometimes is poor and very distant.
Get rid of those commentators who fail to give a balanced coverage. – Bill Russell
Interesting read. I am a Sydney resident. Sadly, since our biggest paper (SMH) was sold to Nine the coverage of A-League has shrunk enormously. It rarely previews games any more.

Non-fans would simply not be aware of upcoming fixtures. People I know write to the paper and have cancelled subscriptions. – David Payne

As an annual visitor to Adelaide from Sydney we were delighted to be able to attend various Festival events: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (the opera) A German Life, Pulse…
These we expected to be excellent and they most certainly were. What we didn’t expect was the exquisite beauty of the Clarice Beckett exhibition.
We were as moved by this beauty of this exhibition as we were by her tragic story. Congratulations to all those responsible for rescuing her art works and for displaying them in such a sympathetic way.
Will they be exhibited in any other capital city? All Australians deserve to be able to see these wonderful paintings. This exhibition was in marked contrast to another we were asked to visit, up the other end of town and in some way linked to the Venice Biennale. We had been asked to see it by a family member who was involved in its installation. Call me a traditionalist but I found this totally incomprehensible. But I realise you need to offer “art” of all kinds.
But this in no way dimmed our delight in all that Adelaide had to offer. One other highlight for us was the forum chaired by David Marr. The one we attended was on the opera and it was extremely worthwhile, informative, interesting and fun.
