Hospitality guru H. Joseph Ehrmann took over one of San Francisco’s oldest Saloon bars in the early 2000s. He gave it a lick of paint and a new name: Elixir.

But, as he tells Living Proof’s Nicole Haack and Marcus Motteram, it was a while before the business found its feet.
