Paris’s Most Influential Bartender is a champion of making cocktails more approachable for the uninitiated.
When Margot Lecarpentier was making the career change from New York lawyer to Parisian bartender, she was buying up all the best books on cocktails and spirits. But to her, they were all gobbledegook.
So she wrote her own: Les Bible de Alcools, and opened a bar she prefers to call a ‘cocktail bistro’.
Margot spoke with Living Proof’s Nicole Haack and Marcus Motteram about how she’s trying to make fine drinking more approachable, and what it means to be named Paris’s Most Influential Bartender.
