Commenting on the story: The Overland in limbo, public transport numbers crash

The decline in public transport usage is only to be expected with the Covid-19 virus keeping people at home and people seeking to avoid crowds.

The Overland could not run at this time because virtually no one is allowed to travel between South Australia and Victoria.

But the epidemic will not last forever. The South Australian Government needs to retain current levels of service and increase them when the epidemic is over.

This is also the time for the South Australian Government and GSR to consider upgrading the Overland service to make it more frequent and perhaps faster, so as to attract more passengers and compete with the airlines. – Margaret Dingle

It would be a tragedy if the SANFL Magpies were to go due to coronavirus, they are the most successful club nationwide!

Honestly, SANFL really need to work together with all of the SA clubs to find a solution, don’t just depend upon charity.
