SA’s Top 100 companies 2018: the countdown begins
The countdown begins of the state’s top 100 businesses, as ranked by InDaily’s South Australian Business Index. Today we reveal numbers 100 to 80, a segment which includes a number of new entrants from sectors including technology, mining and wine.

The complete list, compiled by Adelaide financial services company Taylor Collison, will be revealed at a lunch at the Adelaide Convention Centre next week (September 20), featuring Premier Steven Marshall as the keynote speaker. (To book tickets, click here.)
Check InDaily on Monday for the next inclusions in the list, which is based primarily on market capitalisation.
To be eligible for inclusion in the Index companies must:
- Be a South Australian entity with an Adelaide ownership register, or be a South Australian operated entity;
- Be a company founded and majority (50.01 per cent plus) owned by South Australians.
Companies owned in part or whole by government, government agencies and organisations, and registered charities are not eligible for consideration.
James Hooper, from SA accountancy and financial advice firm HLB Mann Judd, said the SA Business Index was a great measure of success for local companies.
“Now is the time to be South Australian-owned and proud of achievements made in business success,” he said.
As well as the full top 100, the event next week will reveal a number of awards supported the local partners of the Index:
- Fastest Growing company – supported by the Local Government Association
- Rising Star – supported by People’s Choice Credit Union
- Best New Entrant – supported by HLB Mann Judd
