The mother and two children found dead in a house near Adelaide were in “active contact” with social workers, South Australian authorities have revealed.

Adeline Rigney-Wilson and her children, Corey, 5, and Amber, 6, were found dead in a house at Hillier, north of the city, on Monday.
Her partner, Steven Graham Peet, has been charged with three counts of murder and will appear next in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
It is believed Peet, 30, and Rigney-Wilson, 29, had only been living together at the Hillier property for a number of weeks.
South Australia’s Department of Education and Child Development has confirmed it had been providing support.
“Social workers were in active contact with the mother and children,” the department said in a statement.
“It would be inappropriate and disrespectful to the deceased to publicly elaborate on the nature of the support being provided.”
However, the department said it would fully co-operate with and participate in the ongoing murder investigation.
When the bodies of Rigney-Wilson and her children were found, police described the deaths as domestic related.
But they declined to detail how the trio were killed and no details were given when Peet appeared in court on Tuesday.
Rigney-Wilson’s mother said her daughter had previously had some family-related issues which had resulted in a third child, a son, living with his father.
Donna Rigney also revealed that her daughter had problems with drugs after getting “mixed up with the wrong crowd”.
That had strained their own relationship, with the pair not speaking for the past four months.
