Hawks could regain three for Crows clash
Hawthorn could regain a trio of premiership players for Friday night’s big AFL clash with Adelaide.
Coach Alastair Clarkson expects veteran defender Josh Gibson to return after he sat out last Saturday’s tight win over St Kilda with hamstring tightness.
Ryan Schoenmakers also did not play last weekend because of a groin injury and he could come back.
Speedster Bradley Hill is yet to play this season because of a wrist fracture and he is another player closing on a senior recall.
All three were in the Hawthorn side that belted Adelaide by 74 points in last year’s semi-final, the two teams’ most recent clash.
The Crows must find a replacement for Wayne Milera, who has a quad muscle injury, with either Charlie Cameron or Riley Knight the most likely replacement.
Brett Deledio could be a surprise Richmond selection for their must-win match on Sunday night against Melbourne.
He has not played this season because of a quad muscle injury, but pushed his case by training on Tuesday.
If Deledio can train again today and prove to club medical staff that he is ready, the Tigers might rush him in to face the Demons.
They are also on the verge of regaining their No.1 ruckman, former Crow Ivan Maric.

West Coast coach Adam Simpson said yesterday that Brownlow Medallist Matthew Priddis would play in Saturday’s SCG match against Sydney.
Priddis missed last Friday night’s convincing win over Richmond because of a groin injury.
