Australians have begun returning home from Bali as the ash cloud around Denpasar Airport clears up, but today’s flights remain tentative.
More than 850 people flew to Australia from Bali yesterday when conditions improved, despite continued eruptions from Mt Rinjani in Lombok.
Jetstar has indicated it plans to operate all services to and from Bali today if the ash cloud remains clear.
In addition, the airline will bring back 2200 customers on 11 recovery flights.
All Virgin Australia flights from Australia to Bali remain cancelled this morning, although the airline will update customers on its afternoon plans.
