More than 230,000 people attended dance, theatre, music, film, visual arts and community events and activities as part of Oz-Asia, but one of the biggest spectacles of the festival was Good Food Month’s inaugural Adelaide Night Noodle Markets where for 11 days the Festival Centre Plaza was transformed into a hawker-style food market.
As well as the free outdoor entertainment by OzAsia performers, the Night Noodle Markets offered plenty of foodie photo opportunities for the social-media-savvy, with all the theatre of the Asian food vendors preparing signature dishes for the crowds. Stallholders Hoy Pinoy reported feeding Adelaideans 21,000 skewers and Everybody Loves Ramen sold 4,500 ramen tacos and half a tonne of ramen fried chicken.
The woks, grills and steamers are now turned off and the foodies have entered their best food pics in our Night Noodle Markets food photo competition for a chance to win a night out on InDaily, including a Madame Hanoi voucher and a night at the InterContinental Adelaide.
