More than 30 jobs could be created as an Aboriginal energy company expands into South Australia.

Queensland-based AllGrid Energy will launch its solar battery system, used to store energy produced by rooftop solar panels, in Adelaide on Wednesday.

“The company has already established a sales office in the city, has engaged 10 contractors for installation work and will build the cabinets required to store the battery system in South Australia,” Aboriginal Affairs Minister Kyam Maher said.

“AllGrid is confident it will create more than 30 jobs as the solar battery system is introduced throughout the state.”

The company is the result of a partnership between DICE Australia, an Aboriginal-owned and operated electrical contracting firm, and energy management company Consolidated Industrial Holdings.
