The manager of a South Australian government program has been charged with abuse of public office and other charges following an investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption.

Commissioner Bruce Lander revealed this morning that he had investigated the 36-year-old Semaphore Park man after a report was made to his office.

After the investigation, he referred the matter to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) who decided to lay charges.

“The man, who was employed as the manager of a government program, has been charged with six counts of abuse of public office, alleged to have occurred between 6 December 2012 and 16 May 2014, and four counts of dishonestly dealing with documents, alleged to have occurred between 13 February 2013 and 16 May 2014,” Lander said in a statement.

The man will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 24 July 2015.
