This year The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre continued its commitment to present the world’s most influential figures – providing South Australia and its online audiences with the means to discover insightful thinkers, promote informed debate and nurture public interest on a wide range of local and global social issues.
The Centre’s breadth of topics ranged from local to world heritage, neuroscience, women with lived criminal experience, the economy post-GFC, and marked milestones for Australian Red Cross, the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA and reflected on the centenary of World War I. The Hawke Centre sends a heartfelt thank you to all the partners who contributed to its stimulating 2014 program.
A highlight for many was the UniSA Nelson Mandela lecture with former President of Ireland, Mary McAleese. The Centre is proud to announce that Mary has accepted the role of International Patron of The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre. The Hawke Centre thanks Mary for her generous support and commitment to the Centre and looks forward to a long association with this inspiring leader.
We look forward to presenting another eclectic program in 2015, kicking off with a Documentary Film Festival as part of Net-Work-Play; our involvement in WOMADelaide’s Planet Talks; Adelaide Writers’ Week and Xenosceptica 3, an exhibition from visual artist Daniel Connell.
Keep up-to-date with The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre 2015 program.
