
In this engaging and insightful public lecture, The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG will discuss his work on the United Nations Human Rights Council Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG, is a former Justice of the High Court of Australia, and a patron of the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre. Kirby delivered the 2007 Annual Hawke Lecture, exploring the interface of consensus and dissent in contemporary Australia – and the need for a legal articulation of rights in Australia.
The Public lecture with the Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG is co-presented by the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and the School of Law, at the University of South Australia.
