FIVEaa’s sports drive has regained its crown as the leading sports radio show in Adelaide.

However, the overall news for the AM talk station was not good, with losses across the schedule.

The latest ratings saw Mix 102.3 maintain its position at the top of the ratings, with ABC891 drawing level in second place with Nova – knocking FIVEaa back to fourth place.

The ratings, for the period April 20 to June 28, show that Triple M’s trip to the top of the drive sports ratings after years of FIVEaa dominance lasted just one survey period.

During this ratings period Triple M switched its drive and breakfast teams, with Chris Dittmar and Mark Ricciuto moving to early mornings and Andrew Jarman and Dale Lewis taking over drive.

That move paid off marginally in breakfast, with the new team lifting the ratings by 0.7 points. However, in drive Jarman and Lewis lost 2.1 points – handing the sports crown back to FIVEaa’s Stephen Rowe and Chris McDermott.

In the key breakfast slot, the ABC’s local radio duo Matt Abraham and David Bevan moved back to equal first with Mix. FIVEaa’s brekky team of David Penberthy, Jane Reilly and Mark Aiston lost some ground but remained in third place.

In evenings, FIVEaa’s Jeremy Cordeaux was the big loser, bleeding 2.4 points to slip from first to fourth behind Nova, 891 and Mix.

Overall, Mix remained the ratings leader, with ABC891 joining Nova in equal second position. FIVAaa slipped behind 891.
