Winners announced: SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards

Jun 19, 2014, updated May 13, 2025

The Hon. Jennifer Rankine MP, Minister for Education and Child Development formally launched the 2014 SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards exhibition on 16 June, coinciding with Refugee Week (15 – 21 June). The exhibition presents the work of student finalists of the SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the Awards are hosted by the Hawke Centre, the Migrant Resource Centre of SA and the School of Art, Architecture and Design at the University of South Australia. In keeping with the themes of Refugee Week, this exhibition showcases posters created by South Australian students from primary to tertiary level that raise awareness about the issues affecting refugees and to celebrate the positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society. The artwork communicates the message that refugees are welcome, and contribute to the Australian ‘family’.

The Hawke Centre and partners are pleased to share the winners of the 2014 SA Refugee Youth Poster Awards:
