An opportunity to hear one of the world’s leading theologians and critical thinkers, Yale University’s Professor Miroslav Volf.
Professor Volf has thrown much of his life’s work into understanding the problems of reconciliation and violence. His book, Exclusion and Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness and Reconciliation was born out of his own experience of seeing Croatia, his homeland, devastated in the 1990s. Having witnessed the violence between Serbs and Croats he is well-placed to comment on the importance of ‘otherness’ and reconciliation as a resource to resolve conflict.

His lecture, on 16 March, will be followed by an on-stage conversation and Q&A session with himself and two South Australian theologians, Rev’d Dr Phillip Tolliday (St Barnabas’ College) and Rev’d Dr Graham Buxton (Tabor Adelaide).
