Celebrated annually on 8 March, the 2014 theme for International Women’s Day is: “Equality for women is progress for all”. Presenting at the Hawke Centre, 3 March, Elzira Sagynbaera, Regional Programme Director for UN Women in Fiji, will share how UN Women is working to achieve this goal, and therefore change the lives of vulnerable women across the world.
Elzira Sagynbaera has been a dynamic leader within the United Nations for twenty years, working with inspiring women around the globe including, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Kosovo. Her experience has provided her an extensive knowledge of UN programming, as well as operations in the field.
