New Year’s Eve in the City – Tuesday, December 31

Dec 13, 2013, updated May 12, 2025

Once again Adelaide City Council is taking the headache out of planning your ideal, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebrations and this year BankSA is a proud supporter of the free concert and party.

This year’s free event takes place from 6pm until 1am in Elder Park and promises to be a great night of live music, food stalls and fireworks. The atmosphere at Elder Park will be electric, with an entertainment line-up that all ages will enjoy.

The park’s historic Rotunda will be bathed in light and provide the focal point for live entertainment in a concert line-up that includes: Atlantic Street Band, The Wholias, All Year Round, Climbs, Germein Sisters, Jimmy & The Mirrors, Lucky Seven with The Swing Sesh dancers and  DJ Tr!p.

And it wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without fireworks. The city skyline will light up with not one, but two rounds of spectacular Nine News fireworks designed by award-winning Foti International Fireworks. The two shows will take place at 9pm and midnight, to mark the arrival of 2014.

Enjoy the array of international food and purchase beverages from the licensed bar and beer garden. Please note, no BYO alcohol is allowed at the event.

Gates open at 6pm and the free concert kicks off at 7pm.
