South Australia has won its Sheffield Shield cricket match against Victoria at the MCG.
Michael Klinger and Callum Ferguson steered the Redbacks home as they chased 180.
The visitors were looking far from secure after lunch when Travis Head was caught at cover off the bowling Scott Boland for 12.
That left them 2-27 after opener Phil Hughes went for a fourth-ball duck, thanks to Quiney’s great catch at gully off the bowling of Clint McKay.
But Klinger and Cooper quickly settled in and looked as though they would see out the match.
Quiney was brought on for two overs of medium pace before tea and Cooper edged him to Cameron White at first slip.
Ferguson’s boundary just after 3.15 SA time secured the win with seven wickets to spare.
Klinger was not out on 73 and Ferguson on 21.
Earlier on Monday, Victoria’s tail continued to wag and they reached 404 in their second innings.
Jon Holland scored 43 and Boland made 42, while Gary Putland and Chadd Sayers took three wickets apiece.
SA took control on day one when they skittled Victoria for 118.
The win moved the Redbacks to the top of the Shield table, with NSW also expected to win their match and regain top spot.
