Severely and permanently injured in the London bombings of 7 July 2005, Gill Hicks lost both legs from below the knee. She discovered a great inner strength to not only fight for her life that morning, but to learn to walk again using prosthetic legs. Gill is well-known for her inspirational talks and seminars with many organisations in the UK and Australia.
Gill will present When war finds you, at the annual Repat Foundation Remembrance Business breakfast, with proceeds supporting the Foundation. More information.
The Hawke Centre proudly presented this Adelaide-born international hero in 2011 – relive this inspirational lecture: One Unknown: facing death, choosing life.
