Join some of the world’s most respected songwriters and musicians for a chat about the words behind their famous music.
Seventies superstar and Grammy-winner Leo Sayer and songwriter/guitarist Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet will appear this Sunday at Words Without Music as part of the Word Adelaide festival.
They’ll be joined by bassist Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, Icehouse) and singer Taasha Coates from ARIA award-winners The Audreys for an entertaining and insightful evening of conversation between songwriters who have sold millions of records.
Words Without Music is a backstage pass to the creative process behind creating a hit song, where those whose music has defined generations will share their secrets and stories.
You, the audience, can join in the conversation via purpose-designed software allowing you to ask questions and help shape the direction of the show…and if you ask nicely, I’m sure they’ll play a song or two!
Words Without Music is part of Word Adelaide – a new festival celebrating the power of words and featuring a series of events across the city. Words Without Music will be held at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Sunday, August 18. Book your tickets and find all the details at www.wordadelaide.com.au
