Put the food court on the roof

JEREMY RYDER: I liked Andrew Wallace’s observations about Rundle Place (Shops will sell Rundle Mall redevelopment, InDaily, August 9, 2013).

I too was surprised to see the food court yet again in the basement. I spent nearly two years living in Osaka, Japan, and always thought it was great that the Japanese department stores put their food areas on the top floor so you could sit, eat and look out at wonderful views.
