Will you be part of Word Adelaide? The brand new festival is nearly here – but there’s still time to book your tickets!
Seize your chance to get up close and personal with the very funny Matt Lucas (Little Britain) Kitty Flanagan (The Project), Professor Roly Sussex (ABC 891) and host Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, Icehouse). They’ll be together on stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday 17 August for In Their Own Words, a hilarious, sit-down conversation exploring the art of comedy.
With more than 50 million album sales, Grammys, ARIAs, Brit awards and sold out shows across the globe between them, Words Without Music – on Sunday 18 August at Her Majesty’s Theatre – invites you to share a ‘backstage’ conversation about hits, misses and all the stories in between. It features songwriting superstars Leo Sayer, Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet), Taasha Coates from The Audreys and renowned bassist Guy Pratt.
If you love poetry, the raw energy of soapbox and the tradition of yarn spinning, competitive Scrabble, indigenous dreaming and language, then Word Adelaide is the place to be. The program also includes events in association with SALA and the State Library of South Australia, plus the biggest line up of hip hop ever to be assembled in Australia.
Word Adelaide is happening from August 15-18. Book your tickets and find all the details at www.wordadelaide.com.au
