A torn retina has ruled out Adelaide midfielder Rory Sloane for the last AFL Showdown to be played at AAMI Stadium.

Sloane will miss Sunday’s game against arch-rivals Port Adelaide after he suffered a poke in the eye last Saturday during the loss to Fremantle.

The Crows announced today that he will be sidelined for at least two matches.

“Further examination has revealed that Sloane has a tear in his retina which will sideline him for at least two matches,” the Crows said.

“He will not be cleared to train until next Wednesday at the earliest.”
