Adelaide Football Club has jumped into the Adelaide Oval ticketing vacuum and launched a pre-sale for 2014 season Crows memberships this Thursday.

The Crows move follows the failure of Adelaide Oval’s Ultimate Membership package.

About 6500 applicants who had paid a $75 application fee to become Ultimate Members were left in the dark after the Ultimate deal was binned in late May with the promise of a replacement.

Stadium Management Authority chief Andrew Daniels said at the time applicants would be contacted with a new offer.

While they are waiting for that to surface the Crows have launched their own deal for members and prospective members.

“The registration process provides prospective members with the opportunity to access Adelaide’s highly anticipated first round of 2014 new season membership offers,” the club announced today.

Crows Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart said the Club will offer new memberships to pre-sale registrants in order of receipt, following the re-allocation of existing members.

“The pre-sale offers supporters the best chance of securing a 2014 season membership by moving to the front of the queue,” Smart said.

Each registration will incur a $50 deposit to be fully deducted from the price of 2014 season membership on acceptance.

Smart said the Club had received lots of dedicated interest in 2014 membership at the inner-city venue.

“Our supporters have been waiting eagerly for the opportunity to lock down their place at Adelaide Oval. Now they can do just that,” he said.

Fans will be able to select their preferred membership option during the online pre-sale registration.

“From reserved seat to general admission and standing room 11-game options, there’s something for everyone.”

Smart said the re-allocation process for existing season ticket holding members would begin shortly.

The pre-sale opens Thursday on the club’s website.

The club’s future prospects received a further boost today with Brad Crouch named the Round 14 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.

The 19-year-old midfielder topped the Crows’ possession count with 31 touches in their 28-point win over the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium last Saturday.

Playing in just his fifth AFL match, Crouch also took six marks and laid six tackles.

Since making his AFL debut in Round two against the Brisbane Lions, he has averaged more than 21 possessions a match.
