Jay Weatherill, like most Labor Premiers before him, does believe the state stops at the toll gate and Grand Junction Road.

Eighteen months ago he said, when discussing the sale of ForestrySA, that “a strong vibrant Adelaide is a strong vibrant South Australia”. He has sold ForestrySA for far less than it is worth simply to get cash to meet his short-term, Adelaide-centric desires. The effect of the sale on the lower south east is considered irrelevant.
