2KW is offering a special Winter Frites menu for a limited time only.

From free French wine tastings, to weekday lunch specials and Champagne Tray Fridays for the best knockoff drinks in town, this rooftop hotspot is the place to be in the cooler months.

Adelaide rooftop favourite 2KW is giving people plenty of reasons to leave the house this winter, rolling out a series of seasonal food and drink experiences ready to entice you to linger longer in the CBD.

Known for its sweeping views over King William Street, Adelaide Oval, Government House and beyond, the venue is proving that the colder months can be just as social, with winter feasts, French wine sessions and champagne-filled Friday fun.

The headline act is Winter Frites – a limited-time lunch offering designed to transform the midday meal into something worth stepping away from your desk for. Available midweek from 12pm to 3pm, the seasonal menu pairs premium produce with golden, crisp frites in signature 2KW style.

Want something a little decadent this winter? The Southern Rock Lobster fits the bill.

Designed to suit everything from quick business lunches to leisurely afternoons that stretch beyond office hours, Winter Frites combines comforting dishes with the polished service and perfect views 2KW is known for.

Guests can choose from a curated selection of dishes, from pasture-fed Angus steak served with chimichurri, or a delicate crumbed fish, to Goolwa pipis with a kick of chilli, or perhaps wood-roasted pumpkin topped with creamy stracciatella.

There’s nothing better than a perfectly-prepared pasture-fed Angus steak.

Those looking to lean fully into the season’s more decadent side can opt for the ultimate showstopper: Southern Rock Lobster grilled with garlic and chive butter – proving that even a weekday lunch can feel like an occasion.

But the weekday options don’t end there.

2KW’s French at Five series is putting an affordable spin on after-work drinks.

Held on the last Thursday of the month from 5pm, the one-hour sessions will be hosted by Jono Hersey from The French Wine Centre.

Expect a rotating selection of French drops served alongside a little dose of joie de vivre – no masterclass, no lecture, no bookings needed and – even better – no cost.

Stay on afterwards for drinks, snacks and those unmissable sunset views.

With sweeping city views, 2KW is a popular spot no matter the time of year.

And if Fridays are already sacred in your social calendar, 2KW has another temptation.

Champagne Tray Fridays bring great beats and a rotating selection of premium pours to the rooftop each week.

As a bonus, every drink purchased between 5pm and 7pm from June to August goes into the draw to win the ultimate take-home tray: three bottles of top-tier champagne – Bollinger, Veuve Cliquot and Pol Roger. Now that’s a whole lot fancier than your sports club’s meat tray!

Top-tier seasonal produce is a cornerstone of the 2KW offering.

Since opening in 2015, 2KW has become one of Adelaide’s enduring hospitality success stories, attracting everyone from office workers and interstate visitors to couples celebrating milestone occasions.

With a restaurant, bar and spacious outdoor terrace, it’s a place that shifts effortlessly from long lunches and post-work wines to spontaneous catch-ups that stretch long into the evening.

As the temperatures drop, 2KW is reminding Adelaideans why it has remained a favourite for so long. Winter might encourage staying in, but with French wine, comforting lunches and champagne trays on offer, there’s a compelling case for heading out instead.
