Find out everything you need to know about this year’s festival season in our latest print edition of CityMag, on streets now.

Every year, CityMag steps up to make your festival experience even better and this year is no exception.

As the Adelaide Fringe opens its gates tonight, our annual festival magazine will be filling newsstands, cafe tables and front bars around the city.

On the cover, you’ll see a familiar sight because nothing marks the start of festival season like the posters peppering city streets and laneways. This year’s cover art was produced by graphic designers Mikaela Balacco, Liam McAlister and James Taylor.

Inside the mag, we share a warm welcome back to the events scene for our national Aboriginal cultural centre, Tandanya and celebrate 90 years of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra with their longest-serving and most recent musicians.

Our ‘Class of 2026’ will equip you with everything you need to know about Adelaide’s music scene for the year. We’ve listed the bands and artists to watch, our favourite songs they’ve released and look back at last year’s list to see how right we were about the bands that would take off.

One of our class of 2026, Kurralta Park, has already proved a strong pick, with the band announced to be supporting the Foo Fighters on their upcoming national tour.

And as always, you can find the city’s newest hospitality openings plus the Fringe feeds to hit on our food truck trail at the three major hubs: the Garden of Unearthly Delights, Gluttony and Fool’s Paradise.

Our festival coverage doesn’t stop there, with a steady supply of our team’s festival reviews also coming your way through the month, this year in partnership with UK-based publisher The List.

The List has been a fixture of Scottish culture since 1985 and is well-known for covering the renowned Edinburgh Festival. The List‘s expert reviewers will join the broader InReview team –our sister site and the state’s top publication for arts and culture critique.

InReview will host an influx of reviews to help you navigate the massive programming Adelaide has on offer this month, which you can find here.

There’s plenty more of all things Adelaide in issue 49 of CityMag – which, as always, is completely free – but you’ll have to pick one up to find out what.

The mags are at a range of venues throughout the CBD and suburbs. There are also stands in popular Fringe venues, or swing by our office at 165 Grenfell Street to get your copy.
