Held on the traditional lands of the Kaurna People, WOMADelaide (World Of Music, Arts and Dance) is an iconic open-air festival celebrating cultural discovery in the heart of Adelaide’s stunning Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla.
This year’s lineup features 700+ artists from 35+ countries across 8 stages, including international superstars such as Digable Planets (USA), John Grant (USA), Khruangbin (USA), Nils Frahm (Germany), PJ Harvey (UK), Protoje & The Indiggnation (Jamaica), Róisín Murphy (Ireland) and Yemi Alade (Nigeria).
WOMADelaide is all about discovering your new favourite artist and this year’s lineup has many hidden gems to explore.
This includes Ana Carla Maza’s (Cuba) genre melding cello performance of latin jazz, pop and rock; Bonny Light Horseman (USA) with their new critically acclaimed album Keep Me on Your Mind/See You Free; indie folk artist Bess Atwell (UK), who’s most recent album Light Sleeper was produced by Aaron Desser (The National); and Duo Ruut (Estonia), who combine their distinct voices with the zither to create beautiful soundscapes.
Plus, Australian favourites – 3%, Amaru Tribe, Andrew Gurruwiwi Band, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Elsy Wameyo, Emily Wurramara, Miss Kaninna, Ngaiire and more.
