Through the Lens

Discover South Australia through the eyes of its older residents at the Through the Lens 2026 photography exhibition, showcasing the competition’s finalists and winners at City of Adelaide Library on North Terrace throughout October and November.

Photography has a unique ability to tell stories, capture memories and offer a fresh perspective on the world. Through the Lens celebrates the creativity, experiences and talent of older South Australians, showing that there’s no age limit to learning, creating and sharing meaningful stories.

Presented as part of the International Day of Older Persons celebrations, the annual competition invited Seniors Card members to submit photographs reflecting their lives, passions and interests.

The exhibition brings together winning and finalist images across six categories, alongside the recipient of the Judge’s Choice Award. From personal moments to inspiring perspectives on life in South Australia, the collection celebrates creativity, connection and positive ageing.
