The Drop In: Alternative Whites

Think you know white wine? Think again! The first edition of The Drop In: Alternative Whites is coming to the National Wine Centre on Friday 6 March 2026.

Embark on a new tasting experience that celebrates the diversity of Australian white wines. The curated lineup of 25+ exciting Australian producers includes Aphelion Wine, Beresford, Hither & Yon and Yangarra Estate from McLaren Vale; Victorian wineries MDI Wine and Stanton & Killeen; Wangolina from the Limestone Coast; and the Barossa’s Chaffey Bros.

They’ll be sharing a range of niche and experimental whites – offering varietals like Roussanne, Picpoul, Grüner Veltliner, Fiano and Chenin Blanc, along with unexpected new blends.

Entry to the event includes unlimited wine tastings and a complimentary Spiegelau glass to savour your samples and take home. The bar also boasts a selection of beverages available for purchase, as well as delicious food options.
