Adelaide independent publisher Pink Shorts Press is hosting a book club with a twist at East End venue Septimus House of Cheese & Wine.

Spritzes & Stories invites book lovers to enjoy a glass of Willson small-batch limoncello spritz or wine while taking part in a friendly book swap. Guests are encouraged to bring a favourite read to exchange with someone new. The event is as much about building community and connections as it is about words.

Publishers Margot Lloyd and Emily Hart will guide conversations inspired by Adelaide author Barbara Hanrahan’s book Annie Magdalene and the ways our city appears on the page.

“We’ve always believed that stories don’t just live on the page – they spark conversations and connections,” Emily says.

“Pink Shorts Press is proudly South Australian, and pairing literature with a delicious beverage feels like a very Adelaide way to spend an evening.”

Tickets are $55, which includes a spritz on arrival and a shared charcuterie board at the South Australian-focused wine and cheese bar. The event is on Wednesday, October 15.
