Adelaide-based ensemble Point & Flex Circus is returning to the stage with their latest contemporary circus production, SpOonLess. The show premieres at Gluttony on March 17, 2026, and explores the neurodivergent experience through a combination of acrobatics, storytelling and side show stunts.

The performance uses “Spoon Theory” as a central metaphor for energy management, touching on themes such as burnout, masking and hyperfocus. Two performers lead the show, featuring physical feats including high-flying tumbles and juggling. The work specifically highlights high-masking neurodivergent individuals, such as women and gender-diverse people, whose experiences are frequently overlooked.

Producer and performer Juliet Macleod says there is a need for more neurodivergent people on stages and screens, especially those who continue to be cast aside.

“SpOonLess celebrates the idea that there is not one way of being in the world. And to be neurodivergent is different, not less,” Juliet says.

Point & Flex Circus is a South Australian company previously known for the production Boss Squad. This new show is recommended for audiences aged 13 and above and runs for six nights in The Ukiyo.
