One of Poland’s most celebrated graphic designers is the subject of a special one-night-only screening coming to Adelaide’s East End this month.

Presented by Galeria Grafika, Signs of Mr. Plum makes its Australian premiere at Palace Nova East End on Thursday 23 July. The award-winning documentary explores the life and legacy of Karol Śliwka, the influential designer behind some of Poland’s most recognisable logos, posters and visual identities, whose work helped shape post-war graphic design.

The evening will also feature a rare appearance by internationally recognised Polish graphic designer Patryk Hardziej, who will introduce the film before taking part in a post-screening audience Q&A. A member of the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), Hardziej is known for his work preserving and celebrating Poland’s rich design heritage.

The screening begins at 6pm, with tickets priced at $25 including a drink on arrival. An unmissable event for lovers of design, art and visual culture.
