The Adelaide Town Hall is celebrating South Australia’s music history with a new SA Music Hall of Fame exhibition.
Presented across two levels of the iconic venue, the exhibition is part of the city’s year-long celebration of its 10-year anniversary as a UNESCO City of Music. Visitors can explore rare memorabilia from the collection of radio legend David ‘Daisy’ Day, archival material from the State Library of South Australia, vintage guitars, historic sound equipment, and gig photography.
Honour boards feature icons from rock and pop to community radio and classical innovation, including Cold Chisel, The Angels, No Fixed Address, Paul Kelly, Sister Janet Mead, and Three D Radio.
Spokesperson for the SA Music Hall of Fame Gary Burrows says they are thrilled with the exhibition.
“The Adelaide Town Hall’s rich history aligns perfectly with the Hall of Fame’s mission to recognise the success of our musical greats,” Gary says. “But it’s more than a tribute, it’s a living record that honours past legends and opens a new chapter inspiring the next generations.”
The exhibition is on display now.
