The University of Adelaide Politics and International Relations Association (PIRA) is hosting a public discussion panel before the federal election. The forum will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at the University of Adelaide’s Braggs Lecture Theatre.

Focusing on issues affecting young people, the panel will discuss priorities identified in the 2024 Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations Report. Confirmed candidates include South Australian Labor Senator Karen Grogan, Liberal candidate for Boothby Nicolle Flint, South Australian Greens Senator Barbara Pocock, and Jacqui Lambie Network Senate candidate Rex Patrick. Further candidates from major parties are also expected to attend.

The event is free and open to the general public and the university community, however, RSVPs are required via Humanitix. The forum will commence at 6:00 pm and run for 90 minutes. Note that the event will not be recorded or broadcast.

PIRA is the representative body for students and graduates in the University’s politics and international relations department, it organises a range of social, career focused and academic activities throughout the year.
