Award-winning storytellers Wright&Grainger are bringing their internationally acclaimed shows, Orpheus and Eurydice, to the Mortlock Wing of the State Library for Adelaide Fringe.
The two shows are a modern retelling of the Greek myth. Orpheus, which won Best Theatre at Adelaide Fringe in 2023, tells the story of Dave, a single man at a bar, and Eurydice, a tree nymph, with Bruce Springsteen on the jukebox. Eurydice, which took home the Best Theatre award in 2019, tells the same story from Eurydice’s point of view, giving a voice to a character who has often been silent.
The two shows can be seen on their own or as a double bill. For this special season, marking 10 years of touring Orpheus, the duo will be joined by a live string quartet and vocal ensemble.
Wright&Grainger say performing in the historic library will be an unforgettable experience.
“We’re so excited to perform in such a beautiful venue,” organisers say.
The shows run from February 19 to March 22, 2026.
