One of One, an organisation known for its inclusive events supporting and empowering women and gender non-conforming (GNC) people in the music industry, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a national tour this March, hitting Adelaide on March 28.
The commemorative events include a catered breakfast, keynote speakers and networking opportunities for women and gender non-conforming people in the industry.
The Adelaide stop will include a keynote from Australian music leader and current head of The Annex, a marketing service that partners with talent management and labels, Mardi Caught.
Mardi founded The Annex in 2018 and has decades of global and domestic industry experience having held senior executive roles at Warner, EMI and Sony in Australia and the UK.
“These events are so important to Women and the GNC community in Australia as it allows us not only a space to gather and connect, but to be continually motivated by not only the talent onstage but also in the room,” Mardi says.
“One of One have spent so much time considering the needs of the entire community and always delivers their national programme to be both joyous and inspirational to all who attend.”
Other keynote speakers include Tina Arena in Melbourne, Fifa Riccobono AM in Sydney, Ali Tomoana in Brisbane and Dr Shellie Morris AO in Darwin.
This year One of One is holding its first Perth breakfast, which will include a keynote from manager and promoter Kelsie Miller who runs independent music management company Across The Road Music.
The One of One team says they cannot believe their organisation has reached its 10th birthday.
“We’ve grown from our humble beginnings with the help and support of our community and the music industry. We still love what we do, and it’s as important now as it ever was.”
