Rundle Mall will host a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and community for NAIDOC in the Mall on Tuesday, July 8.
Held under the Gawler Place Canopy, the event invites the public to connect with and support local Aboriginal businesses. The free gathering is part of the City of Adelaide’s NAIDOC Week program and will feature activities for all ages, light refreshments and entertainment.
It will include free, family-friendly activities, including native animals from Animals Anonymous, native flavour tasting with Australian Wattlebush Catering, live music by Rob Edwards and more.
This year’s national NAIDOC Week theme is “The Next Generation: Strength, Legacy and Vision”.
Lord Mayor Jane Lomax-Smith says the City of Adelaide “proudly honours NAIDOC Week as a time to reflect on the enduring contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples — past, present and emerging.”
NAIDOC in the Mall runs from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm.
