Mother Nature, The Arena Spectacular

The Adelaide-based Australian Calisthenics Theatre Company (ACTC) premieres its 2025 arena spectacular, Mother Nature, in Adelaide on July 4. The show features Ten Tenors star JD Smith, alongside empowering vocals and original music by local talent Chloe Castledine. Mother Nature blends many elements of dance, story, acrobatics, and live music. This ninety-minute production features a cast of 120 elite dancers from across the country.

ACTC artistic director and co-owner, Brooke Brown, says, “calisthenics is normally a sport based on rigid competition, and we’re breaking through that by highlighting its theatrical side in an arena setting”.

“Mother Nature is about showcasing the strength and power of this predominantly female sport,” she says. 

The spectacular consists of six acts, set across two massive stages with a live orchestra and dazzling special effects from Adelaide’s own Novatech. Mother Nature is on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
