South Australian businesses keen to connect with government buyers can head to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena for the expanded Meet the Buyer event. Set for July 2, 2025, this free annual gathering is a solid opportunity to get your foot in the door of the government supply chain.
Hosted by the Office of the Industry Advocate and the SA Government, in partnership with the South Australian Business Chamber, the event aims to give local businesses a leg up. It’s a chance for one-on-one chats with key government buyers and decision-makers, whether you’re a sole trader or a larger operation.
The Premier, the Hon. Peter Malinauskas MP, will officially open the event, joined by Industry Advocate John Chapman OAM and South Australian Business Chamber Chief Executive Officer Andrew Kay. Treasurer Stephen Mullighan says the State Government is “setting South Australian businesses up for success” and is proud to deliver “an even bigger and better Meet the Buyer in 2025”.
Exhibitors will include representatives from over forty State Government departments and public authorities, alongside head contractors from major infrastructure projects. Attendees can also join workshops to sharpen their tender writing skills and deepen their understanding of government procurement processes. John Chapman OAM says Meet the Buyer offers a “valuable chance to connect” and “gain insights into future procurement opportunities”.
