The Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) is bringing together international speakers for its annual Indie-Con Australia Conference and A2IM’s Indie Week Australian Edition, held in Adelaide from Wednesday, July 30, to Friday, August 1.

Confirmed speakers include A2IM President and CEO Dr Richard James Burgess MBE and A2IM General Manager Lisa Hresko, alongside label representatives from across the USA.

These include: Hopeless Records’ Ian Harrison, Rough Trade Records’ Melanie Sheehan, Rhymesayers’ David Barnes and FADER Label’s Salvatore Maicki.

Also on the agenda are Secretly Distribution’s Director of Planning and Initiatives Anna Bond and Secretly Group’s Senior International Marketing Director Ali Murphy, who will join Kaoruko Hill (GM APAC, Merlin) and Guji Lorenzana (A&R Business Development, Symphonic Distribution APAC) to discuss opportunities in the Asia-Pacific music market.

“We look forward to welcoming speakers from around the globe to connect with the Australian independent recorded music community, discuss issues that affect our industry and explore opportunities for global growth,” says AIR CEO Maria Amato.

The conference will close with MusicSA’s Scouted event, showcasing emerging South Australian musical talent. The full program will be announced in late June.

The events are supported by the South Australian Government through the Music Development Office.

A $70 discount on tickets is available for South Australian artists and labels using the code SA2025.
