Foresight Community of Practice Gathering

Join the Foresight Community of Practice Gathering at MOD. on June 12, 2025. This event welcomes the new SA Water Visiting Futurist, Vaughn Tan, during his four-week residency. Tan is an independent strategy consultant who works with governments, businesses, and not-for-profits to build effective strategies for adapting to uncertain futures. He is the author of The Uncertainty Mindset and is a Fellow of the Singapore Government Centre for Strategic Futures.

The gathering is an opportunity to connect with the futures and foresight community in South Australia and contribute to strengthening the field’s capability and impact. Short speeches and activities focusing on dissecting uncertainty and risk will commence at 5:45 pm. The MOD. galleries will also be open from 5 pm, offering a chance to view the exhibition FOREVER, which explores understandings of time. Entry is free and includes drinks and nibbles. The gathering is jointly hosted by Professor Ariella Helfgott from the University of Adelaide and the SA Futures Agency, along with Dr Lisa Bailey, Director of MOD.
