Nine local property experts are hosting a free information session to help South Australians navigate the path to homeownership.

The event, held at Glenelg Football Club on Sunday, October 26, is designed to give first-home buyers guidance on a competitive market. Topics covered will include the differences between buying and building, stamp duty concessions, building and pest inspections, and financially protecting your new asset.

Mortgage broker and founder of Broker That, Ami Reynolds, says they created the event ” to simplify the process and bring all the right people together in one room, so buyers can ask questions without pressure and actually enjoy the journey”. 

“Buying your first home is meant to be exciting – but it can also be confusing and overwhelming,” Ami says.

Peter Theodorou, Director of Mindset Property, says it’s a tough market for first-home buyers.

“There’s limited supply and not much room to negotiate,” Peter says. “That’s why it’s so important to know how to ask the right questions, understand market value, and read between the lines – not just rely on price guides.”

The session is limited to 50 attendees, and while it’s free to attend, you need to register via Eventbrite.
