East End Cellars’ annual Soup Kitchen returns for its seventh edition this winter, running on Thursdays from June 19 to July 17, 2025. The lunches raise funds for Hutt St Centre and Catherine House, with proceeds donated to help fight homelessness in Adelaide.
Each week, an Adelaide chef will create a twist on a traditional hearty soup. The line-up includes Duncan Welgomoed of Africola (June 19), Justin James from Restaurant Aptos (June 26), Sharon Romeo and David Swain from Fino Vino (July 3), Kane Pollard of Ondeen (July 10), and Joshua Cooke of Chianti (July 17).
Soups are $20, served with a fresh baguette from Prove Patisserie. Vegan or vegetarian options will be available. The kitchen opens at 12pm until sold out, offering dine-in and takeaway.
“Hutt St Centre and Catherine House are two amazing organisations which work so hard to assist people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide…we have a lot of the city’s finest chefs donating their time and talent to this important cause and we hope a lot of the city’s community comes to the East End in support of our initiative,” East End Cellars co-owner Margie Andrewartha says.
