Your French weekend starts here.
Bastille Festival Adelaide is back at Festival Plaza, 28-31 May 2026, four days of French food, wine, and live entertainment in the heart of Adelaide. Free to attend, for 4 days only. The festival features French iconic specialties including grilled cheese baguettes from the Alpine Melt House, Provençal pissaladière, Alsatian sauerkraut, Rhône Valley saucisson baguettes, Burgundy garlic butter escargots, and Bordeaux rum-infused canelés. If you can’t choose, try them all with the Food Passport! Oh and don’t miss the live Crêpe Suzette flambé experience paired with Casa Spirits winter cocktails.
Wine lovers can discover wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Alsace, Provence, and the Rhône Valley through the Wine Passport or join the Wine & Cheese Feast guided by a sommelier with cheeses imported directly from France. Guests can also enjoy the Champagne High Tea with flowing bubbles and French pastries.
Throughout the festival, free entertainment includes cancan dancers, live music, DJs, and a special preview of the French Opera Carmen ahead of its full season at Her Majesty’s Theatre this October, while Le Cinéma screens French classics including Amélie and Moulin Rouge! under the stars.
