A returning music festival’s lineup features 2000s royalty and Aussie pop-rockers with ‘20 Good Reasons’ to visit Adelaide’s northern suburbs. See the full lineup.

Iconic 2000s pop duo The Veronicas are headlining Modbury’s second ever A Day in the Gully festival on February 27.

They’ll join Aussie summer soundtrack staples Peking Duk and band Thirsty Merc on the lineup.

Twin sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso are best known for ‘Untouched’ – often dubbed the unofficial national anthem – which was released in 2007.

‘Untouched’ was the breakout single of their second album Hook Me Up, and skyrocketed the duo to global success as Australia’s answer to alternative pop music from the likes of international artists Avril Lavigne and Pink.

Lisa says the duo is “pumped” to return to the local festival, which is backed by the Tea Tree Gully Council and Standing Room Only Events, a Northern Territory-based group that is also responsible for festivals like Bass in the Grass and Port Lincoln’s Tunarama.

This year’s debut A Day In The Gully festival attracted 10,000 to Modbury’s Civic Park – one of the few music festivals left in Adelaide after Groovin’ the Moo, Wildlands and Laneway all dropped Adelaide from their tours. Harvest Rock, Spin Off and Vintage Vibes are also no more.

The organisers say the return of A Day in the Gully demonstrated a strong appetite for live music experiences outside of the city, and shows demand for “new-format festivals”.

“We are so grateful for the community’s response to our debut, and we are excited to be bringing more live music to the Adelaide audiences in 2027, with a lineup that deliberately spans across ages and genres,” SRO CEO Danielle Jones says.

Through partnering with the council, residents in the area can access a locals-only presale with discounted tickets from today, October 22.

The Veronicas last played Adelaide in 2025 as a support act for Cyndi Lauper’s farewell tour. Lisa says the duo are eager to return.

“Adelaide holds such a special place for us, and A Day In The Gully is the perfect festival to be part of,” Lisa says.

The Veronicas will be joined by ARIA award-winning electronic pop duo Peking Duk, made up of Adam Hyde and Reuban Styles.

Best known for the 2013 track ‘High’, Peking Duk released their long-awaited debut album this year called Paradise, previously only releasing singles.

ARIA-Award-winning multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd also joins the line up, alongside pop prodigy RUEL who released his breakout single in 2017 at 14 years old and amassed more than three billion global streams.

Marranungu artist J-MILLA will also perform, as will YUNG MILLA, an emerging rapper from Darwin.

Melbourne-based indie pop rock band Jeane will play, along with Adelaide’s own singer-songwriter Zara Chantelle and PASH.

PASH, a surf-pop group, are fresh off playing Queensland’s Big Sound last month – the largest music industry festival in the Southern Hemisphere and are nominated for SA Music Awards’ Best New Artist Gong this month.

Zara Chantelle is just 19 years old and a student at Adelaide University’s Elder Conservatorium of Music, where she’s honing her songwriting and releasing tracks like ‘Toxic Ex’ which calls out misogyny in the music industry.

A Day in the Gully is at Civic Park, Modbury on Saturday 27, 2027.
