Taste the alphabet

Alpha Box & Dice are serving up the opportunity to taste the full catalogue of the winery’s wares – from A to Z – at their 2018 Tasting Australia event.

The event will take place on Friday 20 April, from 7 to 10pm.

Alpha Box & Dice, McLaren Vale.

So rare is this tasting moment that not even the winemakers themselves have tasted the 21 wines (or ‘letters’) side-by-side.

The tasting will include rare bottles from Museum wines and a taste of future vintages straight from the barrel. In addition, there will also be a talk from AB&D’s winemakers and producers on the topics of the small batch, minimal intervention winemaking and the evolution of their wines over the years.

Adelaide chef, Jessie Spiby – the resident chef at Plant 4, Jessie Does Food catering and newly-opened My Grandma Ben  – will have things covered in the food department. She’ll be creating a one-off Australiana-with-a-twist menu that pairs native ingredients with Asian and European street food influences.

The event will take place at Alpha Box & Dice in the McLaren Vale. Transfer buses will depart at 6pm from The Kings Head Hotel in Adelaide, and will make the return trip from 10 and 10.30pm.

Tickets cost $75, and are likely to sell fast. Buy them online here.
